Emily Hamilton - heroine Moon Awakening

The eldest daughter of Sir Reuben Hamilton, Emily still carries the scars of her father's brutal rejection after the death of her beloved mother.  Though she has half-siblings, the only member of her household who feels like family is her step-sister Abigail.  When she discovers Abigail may be sent to the wilds of Scotland to marry a laird, she is desperate to protect her sister and begs to be sent in her place.   She's not prepared for the cold reception she receives from Laird Sinclair, but that is nothing compared to what happens after she is kidnapped by his enemy, Lachlan.  Emily has learned to deal with the challenges life brings head on, but maybe it's time she started leading with her heart.
